10 kW Hancock
This beautiful 10.26 kW array is located on the client's SE facing garage. These are SolarWorld 285 watt modules mounted on IronRidge rails, with SolarEdge optimizers and a SolarEdge inverter. Check out their production in real time!
Joshua Pearce's take on how things went:
"Solar UP installed our turnkey 10 kW solar photovoltaic system. They designed and built the system along with procuring all necessary permits and dealing with inspectors. The system was installed in a matter of days without problems. The system looks great and worked immediately. I can't tell you how happy we were when we received the first electric bill where the solar system out produced our consumption for the month. The return on investment is greater than any traditional financial investments and the warranties are rock solid. I do not understand why every homeowner in the area doesn't advantage of this opportunity. Solar UP did an excellent job and I would use them again."
7.2 kW Chassell
We sure had a blast putting in this 7.2 kW solar array. Though, I will admit finding sandstone bedrock just a few inches down made things quite "interesting" for a bit. With LG MonoX ACe 300 watt modules and IronRidge rails this is a slick system.

1.2 kW Hancock
Here's a little something for those who don't use much electricity or who just want to get started with solar. This 1.2 kW solar array has LG MonoX ACe 300 watt modules and a DPW pole mount.

5.1 kW Calumet
It was a real burden to have to look out over Lake Superior while doing this install. What a beautiful area we live in! We also got to test out a new module spacer that professor Joshua Pearce whipped up for us. You can check out live monitoring for this site here: Inland Sea. 4.6 kW Boston Pond
Here's a 4.6 kW array we put in near Boston Pond. I know there are steeper roofs around, but this 10/12 sure felt steep enough! Check out their power production here.

4.8 kW Cedar Bay
This was the first time we've used MT Solar for racking and I tell you it won't be the last. With 16 Suniva 300 W modules hooked up to SolarEdge optimizers and a SolarEdge inverter, this is system is already cranking away as you can see here. A big thanks to Keweenaw Power and Lite for bringing out their mini-excavator to get the foundation dug.
And from the owner "The installation went like clockwork, is quite aesthetic, and the view of Lake Superior from behind the solar array and our existing wind turbine is great! On the first full day of operation, the system produced nearly 30 kWh, enough to bank most of the electrons for use in the winter months. With bills previously clocking in at over 27 cents per kWh, being “net zero” with our consumption from the utility brings with it the feeling of independence. We are already considering another install on one of our other properties. These guys are the real deal."
